Is my eczema lotion working?

There is a lot we can do to control the problems associated with eczema and psoriasis. However curing them is a different matter.

There is no known cure for eczema and psoriasis. They need to be controlled on a day to day basis.

People often become confused about how effective their treatment is. It is often thought that if the problem goes away with treatment only to resurface when the treatment is ceased that the treatment has been a failure. This is simply not the case. In fact the opposite is true.

The treatment is designed to keep the problem at bay and if it is doing this whilst being used it is working. So if the treatment you are using lessens the redness and itching and moistens the dryness it is having the desired effect. When the redness, itching and dryness resurface it simply means the treatment is wearing off and needs to be reapplied.
